| Tower Owner Safety Checklist |
 |
|
|
Dear NATE Members:
The NATE Tower Owners Safety Checklist was developed to provide NATE members with a tool that can be used to demonstrate to owners and carriers the reasonable expectations of safety responsibilities that should be met prior to requiring tower climbers to access a structure. The checklist may be used as a helpful reference in discussions regarding projects, or may be used as an enclosure in correspondence to prospective clients. Your company can use this checklist to highlight the safety practices and procedures your association recommends be followed by tower owners.
It should be noted that the Tower Owner Safety Checklist is not a legally binding document, but rather a list of recommendations based on safety principles supported by the National Association of Tower Erectors to help define what levels of owner responsibility your company will require and accept.
A PDF version of the document is also available below. You may download the document or print as many copies as you like from the website and utilize them as a tool to demonstrate your expectations of a safe work environment for your crews.
On behalf of the NATE Board of Directors and Safety & Education Committee, we hope the Tower Owner Safety Checklist will be of help in your efforts to keep your crews safe. Please let me know if you have any comments to share regarding this endeavor.
Best Regards,
Patrick Howey NATE Executive Director
