This month I would like to talk about a subject that is a departure from the normal Message from the Chairman article and for myself somewhat difficult.

How can one consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar? - Helen Keller
Believe it or not, as you read this update, the next Annual NATE Conference & Exposition is only seven months away! We all know how time can fly, so please take a minute to mark your calendar, palm pilot and daytimer for NATE 2002 to be held February 19-22 in Orlando, Florida! You will not want to miss this event, which has truly become the premier event in our industry.
Exhibitors are signing up and booth space is selling out quickly! If you are interested in exhibiting at NATE 2002 and have not already done so, please complete your NATE 2002 Exhibit Space Contract and return it to the NATE office today.

Safety & Education Committee Update
The North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) is working with the tower industry to make the work environment a safer place because of the numerous accidents that have occurred in North Carolina.
The process began with the first “Stakeholders” meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina on December 8, 2000.
